Frequently Asked Questions

1.
Does ASCCU discriminate?
No. We do not discriminate on the basis of your religious background or practices, sexual orientation, race, nationality, gender, age, socio-economic status, or ethnicity.
2.
Is ASCCU a Christian church?
Yes. Visit our Mission/Ministries section for full information.
3.
How can ASCCU accept gay people and call itself Christian?
John 3:16 reads, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (KJV)

Jesus said nothing about gay people. And while the Bible is the inspired word of God, we know that the writers of the scriptures had no knowledge of a homosexual orientation and of committed, loving, monogamous gay relationships.

For questions or more information, contact PastorTrey Morrison.

4.
Is ASCCU a gay church?
No. Both gay and non-gay worship Christ as one.
5.
Do I have to dress formally to attend ASCCU?
No. Most of us wear casual or business casual attire—we keep it “real.”
